Creating a New Route
Note:You can position thecursoron an existing waypoint– the cursortext
WPT indicatesyouarere-usingthe waypointrather thanplacinga new one.
Thiswaypointisincludedinthe route when you pressPLACE WAYPOINT.
Thewaypointappearsonthescreen at the cursorposition.Thenumber
displayedalongsidethe waypointidentifiesitspositioninthe route.The
newwaypointis temporarily added tothe waypointlistwiththefirstavail-
ablewaypointnumber. Thewaypoints inthecurrentrouteare re-num-
beredto identifythe new positions.
Note:If you Clear the routebefore itis Saved,thewaypoint is removed.
4. Movethecursorto the next waypointposition. Adotted lineconnectsthe
cursorto thelastplacedwaypoint.
5. PressPLACE WAYPOINT again.The waypointis placed and thedottedline
changesto a solidline.
Ifyou placedthewaypointincorrectly,you candeletethelast-placed way-
pointby pressingtheUNDO WAYPOINT soft key.
6. Repeatsteps4and5 untilyouhave placedall yourwaypoints.Youcan
haveupto50waypointsina route.
7. Whenyou have entered allyourwaypoints,either:
Pressthe ACCEPT ROUTE soft key(or ENTER)tocompletetheroute. Your
routeisdisplayedonthescreen,andisthecurrentroute,butitisnot active.
Thefirstwaypointofanew routeisoutlined witha square,indicatingthat
itwillbe thetarget waypointwhentherouteis activated.If selected,the
waypointdataboxisdisplayedfor thetarget waypoint.
Youcansavethe routeasdescribedbelow.
Note:The completed routeisstoredin the displayunit,and willbere-dis-
playedifyouturntheunitoffandonagain.However, onanintegratedsystem
itis possibleforacurrentroutefromanotherunitto overwritethis route;it is
therefore recommendedthatyouSavethe route as describedbelow.
➤ To make a newrouteusing the WaypointList:
1. Pressthe ROUTE softkey;the routesoft keysaredisplayed.
2. Pressthe MAKE ROUTE softkey;the make routesoft keys aredisplayed.
